Have You Had Your Holy Spirit Workout Today

I start each day with what I call a Holy Spirit workout. This workout consist of prayer, reading and studying the Bible plus medicating.

We are always trying to find a pill or plan to give us a better life. The vitamin supplements are suppose strengthen your body, but who has something to help your soul condition?

Through the years, I have prayed to my God, for His help, leadership, and guidance. Prayer in my life, is a holistic. If I have a heavy schedule for the day; prayer makes the load seem lighter and the burden bearable.

If someone in the house is sick or the kids are going to take a test, prayer is at the top of the list. Prayer is a big part of the running of our house, I can not imagine going through the day without praying.

In tthe Bible, each time Jesus was going someplace, the first order of business was prayer. If Jesus felt the need for prayer, why should I not put it at the top of my list?

I remember, I needed tires on my car and had no money to buy them. Week after week, I would put a little money away for the tires. Finally I had saved enough money to call and set an appointment to change the tires. The mechanic told me I had been running on air, not rubber.

I know I have been blessed, and down through the years we have used prayer be my support in time of trouble, and my joy in time of happiness.

Start each day reading your Bible. Some will say I am in a hurry in the morning and don't have the time to stop and read then study. Can you do it at night? My point being, you must study and read the word.

The Bible was written over two thousand years ago and it is as fresh today as it was the day it was written. Whatever the problem happen to be the bible will show you a way to deal it.

The Bible is really a GPS guiding you directly to Heaven's front door. You must read it and fellow the instructions. The Bible tells us to study to show yourself approved a willing worker that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the truth.

The Bible will permit you to see things that had been brothering for a long time. As you read and study the word will open your eyes to the truth. The more you read the more understanding you will have; more reading and studying, goes hand in hand.

As you read you will find there is something in there for all of us. Whatever is brothering you, whatever is the problem the word of God, the Bible, has something for the situation.

There are those that will come to you with stories that are as smooth as oil, but if you are prayed up, read up and you have studied, in a few seconds you will see through their story.

We are often put in a position that need not be. We walk into the ditch with our eyes wide open. If you want to be a doctor, you must study, if you want to be a policemen you must study. If you are to be a child of God, you ought to want to read and study so you will know more about our Father in Heaven. We want to be better children of the King.

I don't know how you feel about this, but I tried it and I have no problem with reading and studying My Bible each day. I enjoy it, and I invite you to join me in Bible study. It has brought a peace and comfort into my life. It has taught me how to treat not only family , but others better. Try it for one month and see if it make a difference in your out look, in fact in your life.
