How Is Your Relationship With The Savior
68We are important
I know I have an open door policy with the Savior. I know it because each morning I awake, He permits me to talk with Him.
I thank Him for last night's lying down and this moring's getting up.I give Him honor, glory, and praise.I still don't understand why He would put up with someone like me, but He said He loves me and I trust His word.
I tell Him what I have on the agenda for the day and ask for His help in handling everything on the schedule.
I am reminded that Paul said: I can do all things through God that strengthens me. I know, because of our relationship I can ask for help at any time or place.
There are so many of us that have not, because we ask not. We think this may be too hard a task for the Master or He will get angry, because you asked Him for something.
You love your children and you don't get mad because they ask you a question. Well God is our Father and He won't get mad if you ask Him for something.
He will answer every prayer. He will say Yes, and things will go into action with amazing speed, No, this may not be the right time or I may not be ready for what I have asked, or Not right now, because the Master has a better plan for me. If God was to grant me everything I wanted I would be in big, big trouble.
He loves us so much, there are things He will not grant us, because it will only be trouble for us.
He said the cattle on a thousand hills belong to Him. All the Silver and Gold belongs to Him. So if something is not given to me, it not because He can not do it, its because He loves me too much to give me what I can not handle.
I remember as a child, Mom told me not to eat so many apples, but I was hard headed and all day long that is exactly what I did. That night I suffered. It seemed I could not get to the bathroom fast enough, all night long, and believe me it was a long night.
There are things God will tell me not to do and I do them anyway and it will cause me to suffer. I know He sent His only Son so I could have life and have it more abundantly! But I must remember, God can not stand sin. He hates sin, but loves the sinner.
I have called on Him in the middle of the day, as well as early in the morning. I have put in a call when things were going good(few of these) and (many) when things were down in the dumps.
There is one thing I know, He will never leave me nor will He forsake me. Part of this relationship is in the fact I have faith He can do all things, but fail.
Hebrew 11:6 tells me: without faith, it is impossible to please God. If I want a good relationship with God there are some things I must do.
I must be obedient to His word, I must have faith in His word, and I must follow the word of God.
I love the Lord, because He first loved me. It was He that reached down into the dirt and the grit and pulled a sinner like me to safety. He cleaned me up and put my feet on solid ground. He gave me a new walk and a new talk.
The places I use to go, I now have no desire to go. He gave me the blessed assurance I can come to Him anytime of day or night. He will be there for me.
Do you have that type of relationship with our God, our Father? Can you call on Him and He will answer, because you are His child and He is your Father? If not why not why not?
He will give you the same benefits He has given to me! Join us and You to will say how sweet it is! You will have a friend and a Savior.
My friend, it just can't get any better!

It is not the desire of God that anyone should be lost. But it can not be a one sided affair. We can not have our way in this matter. If you want the right relationship with the Father you must surrender unto Him. He will take you just as you are. He will love you until the very end.
He stands at the door and He will knock. if you open the door He will come in and sup with you and you can sup with Him.

glmclendon: I had to chuckle when you said that you tell God what is on your agenda. A good friend of mine told me once that if you want to make God laugh, simply tell him your plans.
I am thankful that God taught me patience. I have been unumployed now 4 long years, yet I know that My Father is arranging something special but it takes time to get everything in agreement with his will.
The one thing we must remember never to do, is to bargain with God for something, like I will do this to please you 'if' you give me what I desire, God will not bargain for anything and it will take twice as long for you to get things happening for good.
Yes, God's agenda! I always give God the blank page of today and ask Him to guide me intuitively moment by moment! If my plans go awry, I KNOW God is in it! If we allow Him to control our lives, we cannot fail, even if we screw up. He will work that out also. THANK YOU for being a wonderful spiritual instrument to minister to others with your writing. Blessings, Sparklea :)
